MGM China Launches New Program to Combat Gambling Harm
MGM China recently announced the launch of the MGM Responsible Gaming Employee Care Program, a new initiative aimed at expanding its employees’ understanding of gambling harm. The company marked the launch with a special ceremony attended by several notable guests.
MGM Responsible Gaming Employee Care Program Overview
The MGM Responsible Gaming Employee Care Program was officially introduced by MGM China last week. This comprehensive program is designed to provide MGM China team members with a more extensive, sustainable, and efficient platform for promoting responsible gaming.
Through a variety of activities such as roadshows, pop-up interactive games, online quizzes, and training courses, the program aims to enhance employees’ awareness of problem gambling and equip them with strategies to address it effectively.
MGM China stated that the ultimate goal of the program is to contribute to the creation of a balanced, stable, and sustainable society by promoting responsible gaming practices.
Notable Attendees at the Opening Ceremony
The program is organized by MGM’s team in collaboration with key organizations such as the Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) of Macao SAR, the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) of Macao SAR, the University of Macau (UM), and the Macao Polytechnic University (MPU).
Additionally, the program is co-organized by the Macao Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM), Macao New Chinese Youth Association, Sheng Kung Hui Macau Social Services Coordination Office, Macao Gaming Industry Employees Home, and the Youth Volunteers Association of Macao.
The opening ceremony of the program was held at MGM COTAI and was attended by a distinguished lineup of guests, including officials such as:
